French cryptographer and future CISPA faculty Antoine Joux was awarded again recently, this time with the IACR Test-of-Time Award. He received the award at the Crypto Conference in Santa Barbara for his paper “Multicollisions in Iterated Hash Functions. Application to Cascaded Constructions” from 2004.
The IACR Test-of-Time Award is presented every year at the three IACR General Conferences (Eurocrypt, Crypto and Asiacrypt). The award recognizes a paper published 15 years ago that has had a lasting impact on research. Gödel Prize winner Joux will take up his post at the CISPA in Saarbrücken on 1 January 2020.
