"CISPA❤️IGB" on September 16, 2023: Event program now online

On September 16, the CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security hosts the public event "CISPA❤️IGB" at the Alte Schmelz in St. Ingbert. Bringing together lectures, concerts and hands-on activities, the event program promises an exciting day out for the entire family. On this day, science, innovation and entertainment are combined to shape a unique experience.

At 2 p.m. on September 16, the Alte Schmelz will open its doors for an extraordinary public event: "CISPA❤️IGB". Visitors of all age groups can now look forward to a many exciting activities taking place indoors as well as outdoors. The event program is aimed at bringing to life the world of cybersecurity and trustworthy artificial intelligence.

A special highlight will be brought to event visitors by the CISPA Cysec Lab. Several interactive exhibits and hands-on stations as well as an escape room will provide learning opportunities for all age groups. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of cybersecurity research and trustworthy artificial intelligence.

In addition to these hands-on activities, "CISPA❤️IGB" offers numerous opportunities to get in touch with CISPA researchers. At the so-called "Markt der Möglichkeiten", which is an exposition featuring various stalls and displays, CISPA startups, the city of St. Ingbert as well as CISPA's industrial partners will present themselves to the public and give insights into their innovative projects and ideas.

Official opening featuring high-profile speakers

The official opening at 4 p.m. will feature a number of high-profile guests. Ulli Meyer, Lord Mayor of St. Ingbert, Minister President Anke Rehlinger and former State Secretary as well as digital expert Thomas Sattelberger will deliver keynote addresses. CISPA founding director and CEO Michael Backes will focus on the center’s plans for the future and provide valuable insights into the development of the center, the city and the region.

Also part of the party: „Piet Flosse“ and the “Bergkapelle”

Young event visitors also can look forward to an exciting program. Face painting, arts and crafts, a bouncy castle, balloon workshops and a magic workshop will ensure smiling faces. A special highlight for children is the "1, 2 oder 3 Show" with the blue seal Piet Flosse, which is a guarantee for laughter and interactive fun.

Live music will be provided by the St. Ingbert „Bergkapelle” starting at 2 p.m. For those wanting to party into the evening, a DJ will be taking care of good vibes, trying to coax a few dance moves out of the event visitors. There will also culinary delights from a variety of street food stalls.
