On October 1, 2018, Prof. Dr. Michael Backes, founding director of the CISPA – Helmholtz Center i.G., received the honoris causa doctorate by Université de Lorraine. This honorary degree acknowledges his scientific achievements in Cybersecurity and underlines once more the excellent German-French Collaboration between CISPA and Université de Lorraine.
