Transparency and Reproducibility in Usable Security Research with Jan Klemmer
Episode 40 of our podcast CISPA TL;DR is online!
In this episode, we talk with CISPA PhD student Jan Klemmer about transparency and reproducibility in usable security research. Klemmer is a doctoral researcher with CISPA-Faculty Prof. Dr. Sascha Fahl at CISPA’s Hanover site. The conversation explores conducting expert interviews and the importance of qualitative empirical methods in user-centered IT security and privacy research. We also discuss two recent first-author papers by Klemmer — one on standards for transparency and reproducibility in usable security studies, the other on the use of AI assistants in software development. The interview was conducted in German. Enjoy listening!
