Dr. Siegfried Dais joins Supervisory Board of CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security
Dr. Siegfried Dais, former deputy chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH, has been appointed as member of the supervisory board of the CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security. Joining the eight-member board, the renowned manager will accompany the development of the Saarbruecken-based research center. Dais had also been chairman of the Helmholtz Commission that discussed CISPA's admission to the Helmholtz Association.
At Robert Bosch GmbH, Dais was responsible, among others, for the corporate sectors Research, Advance Engineering, and IT. About his CISPA supervisory board membership, Dais, who holds a doctorate in physics, says: "Cybersecurity and trustworthy artificial intelligence are topics of the highest relevance for society and for businesses. If, in accompanying CISPA, I can make a small contribution, I am pleased." Dais also says, "Universities and research institutions provide fertile ground for young scientists, without whom the economy cannot function."
Dr. Siegfried Dais became deputy chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH in 2004. In 2007, he was appointed as an additional limited partner of Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG. Dais retired from the board of management in 2012, and from Industrietreuhand in 2017. He was a member, later chairman, of the University Council of the University of Stuttgart, a member of the Senate of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, the German Research Foundation and the Helmholtz Research Foundation as well as a member of the board of trustees of two Max Planck Institutes.
