Episode 43 of CISPA TL;DR: Julian Siber on algorithmic fairness
Algorithms now permeate almost all areas of society and are becoming increasingly important for individuals. This also raises questions about algorithmic bias and the possibility of creating algorithmic fairness. We explain how this bias arises, what concepts exist for fairness, and what the political framework conditions are for this topic. In addition, Siber explains his concept for achieving algorithmic fairness. To do this, he uses approaches from the field of formal methods. Specifically, his approach is based on the specification language RTLola, which has previously been used primarily for the safety of drone flights. The conversation was conducted in German.
