In October, the Dutch King Willem-Alexander and his wife Quee Máxima visited Saarland University during his annual tour. CISPA’s Founding Director Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Michael Backes welcomed the royal couple as a co-host. Every year, the couple travels to selected states. This year, the royal couple’s visit was centered around the topics digitization, Bio Science, and health. Upon their arrival, Minister-president Tobias Hans received King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima at the State Chancellery. Michael Backes gave a talk on “Secure Industry with Cybersecurity”. In the afternoon, German and Dutch researchers talked on digital development and elaborated further on cooperations in the areas Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and the Industry, on Campus. As part of scientific presentations, Johannes Krupp demonstrated his DDoS project. Afterwards, three agreements on cooperations between German and Dutch research centers on digital topics were signed.
