International cooperation: CISPA Zine No. 6 published
Secure internet, privacy and data protection, trustworthy AI systems – all of these topics affect all people, regardless of their origin, place of residence, age or cultural background. People’s needs and requirements in relation to these systems, however, may vary considerably. For research to serve everybody, it must try to pool knowledge, experience and resources.
But this is not the only reason why CISPA champions international cooperation. There is another, more practical one: At CISPA, researchers from all over the world come together and bring with them not only their own experiences of life and the world in general, but also their connections to former colleagues. In collaborative projects both small and large, top international experts from research and industry work together on major challenges at national, European, global as well as personal and institutionalized levels.
In this latest issue of our Zine, we present the French-German Center for Cybersecurity as an example of our collaboration with research colleagues from France; we spotlight the work of the European Network of Excellence “ELSA - Lighthouse on Secure and Safe AI”, which is coordinated by CISPA, and we also introduce the CISPA Summer Voluntary Internship Program, which is promoting young researchers from South Asia. Most importantly, this issue is about the many ways in which we benefit from exchanges with people from all over the world, allowing us to develop better solutions for everyone. Enjoy reading!
The CISPA Zine focuses on important developments, departments and research areas at CISPA Helmholtz-Center for Cybersecurity. Its playful design, unusual folding and integrated poster combined with crisp text formats are the trademarks of this publication. Read the Zine online here.
