Dr. Wouter Lueks becomes new CISPA faculty member
"I am interested in solving real-world problems by creating systems with end-to-end privacy guarantees", explains Dr. Lueks. After obtaining his doctorate, he was a post-doctoral researcher at the IMDEA Software institute in Madrid and at EPFL in Switzerland. He is interested in designing new cryptographic primitives and system architectures that enable the development of privacy-friendly systems. He is convinced that addressing privacy challenges requires an holistic approach and is therefore looking forward to working with his new colleagues: "Privacy, like security, touches on all layers of the computational stack. CISPA has excellent faculty members in all of these areas," explains Dr. Lueks.
Wouter Lueks has been involved in the development of several systems. These include DP3T, a decentralized contact tracing system, and Datashare Network, a secure document search system for investigative journalists. He is eager to continue his work at CISPA: "I look forward to growingown group and continuing to develop privacy-friendly systems."
