Short Bio

Prof. Dr. Christian Rossow is tenured Faculty at CISPA and leads the System Security research group. He also holds a professorship from the CS department of Saarland University. From 2014 until 2016, he was an Independent Research Group leader at the Cluster of Excellence MMCI at Saarland University. Before, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the VU Amsterdam (Herbert Bos) and the Ruhr University Bochum (Thorsten Holz). Before his postdoctoral stays, he worked at the Institute for Internet Security if(is) in Gelsenkirchen, Germany and obtained his PhD degree from the VU Amsterdam in April 2013. His primary research centers on in these areas: Cyber Threats (e.g., malware), Network Security and Privacy, Program Analysis and Attack Traceback.
