Dr. Julian Loss is a tenure-track faculty at CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security. Prior to that, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Maryland and Carnegie Mellon University from 2019 to 2021. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Ruhr University Bochum, Germany in 2019. My research focuses on cryptography and its interplay with distributed computing. I am broadly interested in provable security, particularly in the design and analysis of digital signature schemes and algorithms for distributed consensus.
